Andrology Technician

Semen Analysis: Perform and evaluate semen analysis to assess sperm count, motility, morphology, and other characteristics.Sample Collection and Handling: Instruct patients on the proper techniques for sperm collection, ensuring samples are handled correctly for accurate results.Microscopic Analysis: Use microscopes and other laboratory tools to examine sperm and identify abnormalities or issues in the sperm cells.Data Entry and Reporting: Record findings and input data into computer systems or patient records. Prepare reports for physicians and other medical professionals.Lab Maintenance: Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and in good working condition. Perform regular quality control and calibration of instruments.Assisting with Procedures: Provide support during procedures such as sperm freezing (cryopreservation) and sperm retrieval techniques.Maintain Confidentiality: Adhere to privacy laws and regulations, ensuring that patient information and results remain confidential.Assist with Research: Support ongoing research efforts by collecting data and analyzing test results related to male reproductive health and infertility.Quality Assurance: Ensure that laboratory practices comply with health and safety regulations, as well as with industry standards for quality assurance.
