We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeller with a strong background in financial data work. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in data modelling with a deep understanding of financial systems and reporting standards. As a Senior Data Modeller, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data models specifically tailored to financial data needs for clients, ensuring data-driven decision-making and efficient financial reporting.

Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models tailored to financial systems, accounting, reporting, and analysis purposes for client projects. Collaborate with business and finance teams to understand financial data requirements and ensure data models meet client needs, specifically in the context of novated leasing and salary packaging. Provide expertise in the design and optimization of financial data structures, including balance sheets, income statements, general ledgers, and other financial reporting elements.

Ensure data models support financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Analyse and improve financial data accuracy, consistency, and integration across financial systems. Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation, including data dictionaries and metadata, specific to financial data.

Ensure financial data security and compliance with data privacy requirements. Collaborate with client teams, including data engineers and business intelligence developers, to integrate financial data models into reporting and analytics systems. Requirements : Proven experience in Data modelling with a strong proficiency in data analysis, data quality, and SQL.Experience in collaborating with key stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualisation.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and understand data reporting requirements to develop, design Power BI dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Expertise in designing data models for financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).8+ years of experience in data modelling, with a strong focus on financial data, accounting systems, and financial of novated leasing and salary packaging data modelling or financial systems.

In-depth knowledge of financial systems, accounting concepts, and financial data structures (e. g., general ledger, balance sheets, P and L). Strong understanding of financial data governance and best practices for financial data security. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data requirements into efficient, accurate data models.
