Job Title: Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid/On-site/Remote - depending on company policy)

Experience Required: 5+ Years

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable web applications. You will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining key components of our product. As a senior member, you'll also mentor junior developers and contribute to system design decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and ship new features.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Design and implement APIs (RESTful/GraphQL).
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong understanding of OOP, MVC, and RESTful design patterns.
  • Experience with frontend technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ideally frameworks like React or
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
  • Experience with RSpec, Minitest, or other testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment processes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Heroku is a plus.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Contributions to open-source Ruby gems or RoR community.
  • Understanding of performance tuning and security best practices.
