Key Responsibilities

Drive accurate, timely and compliant finance operations, financial reporting and regulatory filings aligned with Indian GAAP and Ind AS. Maintain general ledger integrity, month-end close discipline, bank reconciliations and management reporting.

Accounting & Finance Operations

  • Manage day-to-day accounting: accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll interfaces.
  • Record and approve journal entries; maintain general and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Conduct ledger scrutiny to identify and resolve unusual balances.
  • Execute month-end and year-end close activities and drive timely bank reconciliations and cash application.
  • Oversee cash flow, borrowing and liquidity profile; support fundraising documentation and credit renewals.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and compliance processes to mitigate risk.

Reporting & Audit

  • Prepare financial statements and monthly management and board reports.
  • Produce quarterly Ind AS financials for board and exchange filings; support annual financial statement preparation.
  • Coordinate internal, statutory and external audits; respond to audit queries and implement recommendations.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and senior management reporting.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, Ind AS and RBI regulations.
  • Prepare and file RBI XBRL returns; respond to inspections and regulatory queries.
  • Manage statutory compliance for TDS, GST, labour laws and other tax requirements.

Skills & Requirements
We seek a candidate with strong accounting fundamentals, reporting experience and a compliance mindset. The competencies are grouped for clarity:

Technical skills

  • Accounting standards & reporting: Ind AS, Indian GAAP, consolidation and financial statement preparation.
  • Regulatory & statutory: RBI reporting, XBRL filing, TDS, GST compliance, labour laws.
  • Operational accounting: General ledger management, journal entries, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll interfaces, month-end and year-end close.
  • Controls & audit: Internal controls and compliance processes, statutory and internal audits support.
  • Tools & systems: ERP experience (Oracle Fusion preferred), financial consolidation tools, advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Analysis: Financial and variance analysis, management reporting and board packs preparation.

Soft skills

  • Attention to detail and strong discipline for month-end close and compliance timelines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement and audit responses.
  • Problem solving and proactive mindset to identify and resolve accounting issues.
