Job Summary

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in validating enterprise data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and business data products across platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake. This role will focus on designing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across multiple business domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated data quality tests for Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake.
  • Validate end-to-end ETL/ELT processes, including ingestion, cleansing, transformations, and consumption layers.
  • Leverage Snowflake testing capabilities (time travel, streams, tasks, variant types) for functional and regression testing.
  • Build and extend automation frameworks compatible with multiple data platforms.
  • Manage test cases and execution in TestRail, ensuring proper traceability and reporting.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, modelers, and analysts to define test criteria and provide early feedback on development.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows, validating data integrity during production releases.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting for data quality issues (e.g., volume drops, schema drift).
  • Document reusable test strategies, frameworks, and standards for ongoing data validation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in QA automation with focus on ETL/ELT testing and data quality validation.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake QA automation.
  • Proficiency in automated testing frameworks, TestRail, and CI/CD integration.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline validation, schema conformity, and business logic testing.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small QA initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
