Job Description:We have an opening for the post of Manager/ Sr. Manager- Design for a reputed Company for their Gurugram Location.Organization Chart-Please attach/ sketch a current organization chart, showing the organizational context of the position and current job title and level. MD->Design Head->Design -TeamKey Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)-To ensure that new products are being designed within specified timeline as per customer expectation and of desired quality and within affordable cost.Reports to: MDReportees: Design TeamDepartment: DesignBand/Level: Senior ManagementFunction: OpsKey Functions & Responsibilities-Please list your primary tasks & responsibilities that are specific to your position. Indicate an estimate of percent of work time spent on each - over the span of the year(it should not exceed 100%)Must have developed competency to understand the customer brief RFQ/SOR and convert the same into a new product by analysing technical specifications and by conducting feasibility test. TSO finlization and get sign off with Customer.Must be able to evaluate complexity/TKH of design and communicate the same to design team members.Must be able to finalize design standards and pre-estimate TAT for each development stages.Must have completed various projects using 2D and 3D drawings.Must be able to carry out design reviews and validate strength, feasibility and usability of new design with internal development team members as well as with other vendors involved in developing new product.Must be well versed with developing mould and tools required in designing new products.Must have good knowledge of drafting documents for new product development.Must be able to hand hold production team while manufacturing first three four pieces of newly designed products and prepare BOM & BOQ.Must know how to prepare the product cost estimation based on the approved design and must know the process of taking approval for filing copy rights .Must be capable of giving design brief to team members.Must have good knowledge of raw material which are required in making different type of lights.Must be able to write qualtity specifications and parameters for newly developed product.Must be able to make cost estimation based on the approved design.Must know how to prepare BOM and calculate accessories & hardware.AuthorityCan assign daily and monthly targets to team membersCan communicate self-defined schedule to team membersCan propose employee development program to next levelsCan manage performance of teamKey Skills/Experience Required –Specific education qualification/certification, specific functionalexperience etc NEEDED for the job.
