Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Node TypeScript Developer - Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. You will leverage your AWS expertise and in-depth knowledge of TypeScript to build and maintain scalable, data-intensive applications. As part of our team, you will collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver best-in-class solutions for our clients, ensuring that the software architecture is robust, secure, and optimized for performance.

This is a Work from Office role (5 days a week) and requires candidates who are comfortable and committed to working in a dynamic, in-office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, high-quality backend components using , TypeScript, and AWS services
• Architect, design, and implement APIs, ensuring efficient data transactions and performance
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and other cross-functional teams to build seamless integration between systems
• Write unit and automation tests to ensure application quality and reliability (using tools like Jest, Zod, and Swagger)
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing applications, ensuring robust performance and uptime
• Implement security protocols and data protection settings to safeguard applications
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with platform engineering teams on infrastructure management
• Mentor junior developers, sharing best practices, reviewing code, and providing guidance on technical challenges
• Actively participate in project planning, driving solutions and resolving ambiguities to meet client objectives
• Support production operations on a rotational basis, ensuring timely resolution of any issues

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in REST API development
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL (PG-SQL)
• Expertise in AWS Lambda and associated AWS services
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL
• Familiarity with AWS CDK and SAM (Serverless Application Model)
