Hiring for a leading speciality chemical manufacturing company having multiple manufacturing facilities in India. R&D is based out of Hyderabad.

Designation: Project Manager - R&D Chemical

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the single point of contact for R&D projects from initiation to delivery
  • Prepare and maintain Project Initiation Forms (PIFs), project trackers, and dashboards
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Process Development, Analytical, Scale-up and Supply Chain)
  • Track progress against timelines, budgets, and deliverables; escalate risks proactively
  • Support business development team in client interactions and new project proposals

Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in project planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Proficiency in MS Project / SAP Project Systems or similar tools
  • Excellent understanding of R&D lifecycle from lab development to scale-up and technology transfer
  • Strong stakeholder management with ability to coordinate between internal teams and external partners/customers
  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage timelines, budgets, and risk assessments

Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc. (Chemistry / Chemical Engineering preferred), MBA (optional but desirable)

Nature of Experience:

  • 8-10 years in managing R&D or CDMO/CRAMS projects in Pharma / Chemicals / Agrochemicals / Specialty Chemicals
  • Proven track record of handling multiple complex projects independently
  • Strong experience in client communication, project dashboards, and governance reviews
