Job Description Accountant (Real Estate)

Location: Andheri West, Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-time (In-Office)

Timings: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM

Salary Range: 30,000 – 50,000 p.m. (based on interview & experience)

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years (Real Estate industry mandatory)

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Record and maintain daily financial transactions including sales, purchase, receipts, and payments.

  2. Manage and reconcile General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.

  3. Prepare project-wise accounts, cost sheets, and financial reports for ongoing developments.

  4. Ensure accurate tracking of project-related expenses and cost allocations.

  5. Manage invoice processing, bill verifications, vendor reconciliations, and inter-company reconciliations.

  6. Handle statutory compliances – preparation and filing of GST, TDS, RERA-related accounts, VAT, and other regulatory filings.

  7. Maintain accurate records for project advances, customer collections, and broker commissions.

  8. Coordinate with internal teams such as Sales, Operations, Legal, and Project sites for financial data.

  9. Assist during audits, tax assessments, and financial reviews.

  10. Generate MIS reports, cash flow statements, and support management with financial analysis.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience in Real Estate.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, VAT) and RERA accounting requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally ERP / Tally Prime; exposure to SAP or similar ERP will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, MIS Reporting).
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department coordination.
  • Exposure to audits, compliance, and financial reporting within the real estate domain.
