Java Kafka Developer

About Position:

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Apache Kafka to design, build, and maintain scalable, event-driven systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development, distributed systems, and real-time data streaming, with a passion for building high-performance, resilient applications.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices with strong integration to Apache Kafka.
• Architect and implement real-time data streaming pipelines and event-driven architectures.
• Develop and optimize producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams applications for performance and reliability.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance in Kafka-based systems.
• Work closely with DevOps to deploy, monitor, and scale Kafka clusters and microservices.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring for streaming applications.
• Collaborate with business and data teams to understand data flow requirements and ensure efficient message processing.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and mentoring of junior developers.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve system performance and developer productivity.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 7+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including configuration, tuning, and performance optimization.
• Expertise in Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry (Avro/Protobuf).
• Solid understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and message serialization/deserialization.
• Proficiency in multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous processing in Java.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, event sourcing, and data streaming concepts.
• Strong skills in SQL and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
