Senior Business Analyst – Legacy Tax Application Consolidation

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the consolidation of legacy tax applications into a unified system.

You will analyze existing tools, collaborate with stakeholders, and help guide the transition to a streamlined application. Your work will help simplify complex systems and improve the overall tax application process. Responsibilities

• Analyze and document functionality of legacy tax applications developed in C, C++, and legacy .NET
• Serve as a liaison between development teams and product management to align project goals
• Identify and map business processes, data flows, and system interfaces for legacy systems
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into functional specifications
• Develop a consolidation strategy covering data migration, system integration, and user training
• Work with development teams to ensure the new application meets defined requirements
• Support transition efforts and resolve issues arising from application consolidation
• Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical teams
• Review and validate data models and business process documentation
• Monitor progress and report on consolidation milestones
• Assist in preparing training materials for end users
• Evaluate risks and propose mitigation strategies during consolidation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax application domain and relevant technologies
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies
• Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis and consolidation processes

Requirements

• Extensive experience in business/system analysis with 7 to 10 years in legacy system consolidation
• Proven expertise in analyzing and documenting business processes and system interfaces
• Strong background in .NET and C++ programming environments
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in collaborative team settings with product management and developers
• Proficiency in business process mapping and data modeling techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
