Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Lead to manage incoming payments, ensure accurate and timely recording of receivables, and maintain strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent communication and reconciliation skills.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Generate and send accurate invoices and account statements to customers.
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Follow up with customers via email/phone to ensure timely collection of dues.
  • Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Process credit memos, refunds, and adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes.
  • Prepare regular AR aging reports and highlight high-risk accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure successful liaising with Statutory and Internal Auditors from time to time.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and accounting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as lead a team of 10+ members.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
