Junior Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical panels, motors, dryers, conveyors, baling machines, and compressors.

2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in wiring, circuits, and control systems.

3. Inspect and maintain motors, starters, relays, contactors, and switchgear.

4. Ensure proper functioning of lighting, cabling, and earthing systems.

5. Carry out routine checks on DG sets, transformers, and other electrical equipment.

6. Maintain logbooks, maintenance records, and downtime reports.

7. Ensure safe working practices and proper use of PPE while handling electrical equipment.

8. Support installation and commissioning of new electrical machinery and systems.

9. Coordinate with production and mechanical maintenance teams for smooth operations.

10. Monitor power consumption and suggest improvements for energy efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

1. ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrician Trade.

2. 3- 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance (experience in agro/processing/coir/coco peat industry preferred).

3. Knowledge of industrial wiring, motors, control panels, and safety practices.

4. Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency breakdowns.

5. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
