Job Title: Associate Equipment & Tool Engineer- Asset Reliability Engineer

Position Overview :

The Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center in Bangalore is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree (M.Tech) in Quality and Reliability Engineering or a related field from a reputed college and possess a strong background in Reliability, The Equipment & Tool Engineer – Asset Reliability Engineer is tasked with ensuring the reliability and performance of productions asset across various Boeing sites. This role involves analyzing equipment data, including performance metrics, to identify potential issues and develop strategies aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability. Additionally, the engineer will offer real-time support for troubleshooting equipment-related problems and their resolutions. 

Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:


•    Develop and implement reliability engineering practices to enhance the performance and lifespan of production equipment. Conduct reliability assessments, including MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTF (Mean Time To Failure) studies.

•    Design and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies using methodologies such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).

•    Utilize Reliability tools and techniques to analyze equipment performance data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve reliability and operational efficiency.

•    Understand Asset repair, part interchangeability, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices. This includes knowledge of procedures for resolving asset non-conformances, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

•    Lead the testing and validation of electrical, hydraulic, and control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and operational requirements. Develop and execute test plans, including Design Verification Plans (DVP) and test automation.

•    Implement and maintain root cause analysis methods for equipment failures, Develop failure mode charts and standard reports to document findings and recommendations.

•    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Equipment Service, Quality Assurance, and Equipment Analysts, Tool Room team, to ensure alignment on reliability goals and compliance with safety and quality standards.

•    Ensure all Reliability Engineering activities are documented in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. 

•    Provide guidance and training to team members on Reliability Engineering principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :


•    Master's degree (M.Tech) in Quality and Reliability Engineering or a related field from a reputed college, with a specialization in Reliability & Quality.

•    Proficiency in Reliability Engineering principles, Methodologies, and Tools and Analysis techniques (Weibull analysis, Monte Carlo simulations)

•    Proficiency in estimation and analysis of reliability (including both parametric and non-parametric methods), maintainability, and availability

•    Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis and failure investigations.

•    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex engineering challenges.

•    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
