Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Wiring
  • Execute KNX system installations including cabling, terminations, addressing, and device mounting as per system design.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, KNX schematics, and panel layouts.
  • Ensure wiring standards, labeling, and safety protocols are maintained on all sites.
  • Configuration & Programming
  • Configure KNX devices using ETS software (addresses, parameters, group addresses, etc.).
  • Upload, test, and fine-tune KNX programming according to project requirements.
  • Integrate KNX with third-party systems (lighting control, HVAC, AV, security, etc.) as applicable.
  • Testing & Commissioning
  • Perform system testing, device diagnostics, and network troubleshooting.
  • Support final commissioning and client handover documentation.
  • Ensure system stability and customer satisfaction at project completion.
  • Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and automation programmers.
  • Provide site updates, material requirements, and installation reports.
  • Maintain as-built documentation for every completed project.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of KNX system architecture, topology, and ETS software.
  • Electrical background with understanding of low-voltage control circuits.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and on-site coordination ability.
  • Familiarity with Zigbee, Z-Wave, or RS485 protocols (added advantage).

Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
