Role Overview

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing the company's social media presence to enhance brand visibility, corporate reputation, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires strong storytelling, content creation, and analytics skills to align with the organization's communication objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies in line with corporate communication goals.
  • Manage official social media handles (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (posts, videos, infographics, blogs, reels, etc.).
  • Collaborate with internal teams (PR, CSR, HR, Marketing) to highlight business updates, leadership communication, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Monitor social media trends, industry updates, and competitor activities.
  • Handle online reputation management (ORM) by tracking brand mentions, addressing queries, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Track, analyze, and report performance metrics (engagement, reach, followers, conversions, sentiment analysis).
  • Ensure brand voice, consistency, and compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Support in crisis communication and digital PR activities.
  • Explore innovative digital tools, paid promotions, and influencer collaborations when relevant.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience (7–10 years) in managing corporate or brand social media accounts.
  • Strong copywriting, content creation, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in social media tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.) and analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO, hashtags, and digital campaign performance optimization.
  • Ability to design basic creatives (Canva/Photoshop) and coordinate with designers for advanced creatives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Certification in digital marketing/social media management (preferred).
