Experience

2–5 years of hands-on experience in composition/typesetting for academic or STM publishing

Education

Any Graduate with background in Publishing

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform typesetting and layout for scientific, academic, or professional journals and books using 3B2, LaTeX, and/or InDesign.

  • Handle complex math equations, tables, references, and cross-references with precision.

  • Understand and apply journal or publisher-specific style guides and templates.

  • Perform template development and debugging for automation and XML workflows.

  • Work collaboratively with copyeditors, proofreaders, and quality controllers.

  • Meet deadlines while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Skills

  • Proficient in any one or more of the following tools:
  • 3B2 (Advent Publishing Platform / APP)
  • LaTeX
  • Adobe InDesign (with XML workflow experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with XML-based publishing workflows and automation scripts.
  • Strong knowledge of publishing guidelines such as APA, AMA, MLA, Chicago, etc.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of content with speed and accuracy.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
