Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineer with expertise in sheet metal, angle, and structural fabrication, as well as a strong background in quality control and inspection. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the production process, ensuring product quality, and maintaining compliance with engineering standards. This role also involves liaising with suppliers and contractors to oversee project deliveries and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sheet Metal, Angle, and Structural Fabrication: Utilize your deep knowledge and experience in sheet metal, angle, and structural fabrication to oversee and optimize production processes.
  • Quality Control & Inspection: Implement rigorous quality control procedures, perform inspections, and ensure that all products meet industry standards. Proficiency in using various measuring instruments, such as Vernier calipers, torque testers, dial gauges, etc., is essential.
  • Bill of Material Verification: Verify and cross-reference Bill of Materials against manufacturing drawings to guarantee the accuracy of components and materials used in production.
  • Supplier and Contractor Management: Collaborate closely with suppliers and contractors to track and expedite deliveries. Maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of production through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Erection and Installation: Possess the knowledge and skills to oversee the erection and installation of structural items, ensuring they are executed in compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain rigorous quality standards for both suppliers and contractors. Continuously assess and improve quality control processes to meet or exceed industry benchmarks.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of Proven experience in sheet metal, angle, and structural fabrication.
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality control and inspection
  • Strong understanding of Bill of Material (BOM) interpretation and verification
  • Excellent communication skills for supplier and contractor coordination
  • Hands-on experience in the erection and installation of structural components
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to production and quality control
