EHS Engineer/Manager

Role & responsibilities

  • Lead the site safety team to ensure compliance with corporate standards and government regulations while driving safety performance improvements.
  • Provide expert safety support during the planning and execution of initial contract start-up activities.
  • Conduct timely safety audits at site and subcontractor levels and submit detailed reports to the SBU EHS Lead.
  • Liaise with clients on safety-related matters and ensure implementation of contractual safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of accidents, near misses, and hazardous occurrences at the site.
  • Periodically review and update site-specific safety plans in collaboration with the project management team.
  • Ensure safety signage, barriers, and communication materials are in place to prevent incidents and promote awareness.
  • Perform Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for all site activities and implement control measures.
  • Ensure the availability and proper use of PPEs and other essential safety equipment at the site.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS management within construction or industrial projects.
