Position Overview

The Computer Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that build students' skills in digital literacy, coding, productivity software, and responsible technology use. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, student-focused, and committed to innovative teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach computer science and ICT-based lessons to students (Grade levels as applicable)
  • Develop interactive, technology-enhanced lesson plans
  • Teach essential digital skills: MS Office, typing, research skills, internet safety
  • Teach programming basics (Scratch, Python, etc., as required)
  • Introduce students to robotics, coding, and STEM activities (optional based on school)
  • Prepare students for internal/external assessments
  • Maintain the computer lab environment and oversee equipment usage
  • Collaborate with teachers to support tech integration across subjects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Teaching certification or experience in a school environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications and basic programming
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to inspire curiosity and creativity in students

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with coding platforms (Scratch, Python, HTML, etc.)
  • Ability to support Robotics, AI, and STEM initiatives
  • Familiarity with international curricula (IB, Cambridge, etc.)
  • Experience managing computer labs and troubleshooting basic technical issues
