JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Private Chef to cook daily meals for a family of four. The chef should know multiple cuisines, understand healthy cooking, and maintain a clean and well-organized kitchen.
On the attitude front, seeking someone who is respectful, humble and collaborative treating all staff and roles with equal dignity, maintaining a pleasant and professional attitude, and communicating clearly. The chef should show a strong willingness to learn and grow, take pride in their craft without ego, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Location: Private Residence - Thane
Household: Family of 4 (2 elderly people above 75 and two 40+ age people one of them travelling often)
Role: Full-time Private Chef
Reporting to: Homeowner
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Cooking & Meal Preparation
- Prepare high-quality meals for a family of four, primarily vegetarian, with occasional non-vegetarian dishes for the daughter and guests.
- Knowledge in South Indian, North Indian, Maharashtrian, Continental, Oriental and Mediterranean cuisines.
- Knowledge of a range of dishes including salads, soups, omlettes, smoothies, gluten-free meals.
- Work confidently with alternative ingredients such as millets, brown rice, black rice, jowar, ragi, and other specialty grains.
- ** To be discussed if all the meals can be prepared at one stretch and the chef can leave but flexibility will be needed during guest dinners.
- Create daily and weekly menus tailored to family preferences, dietary requirements, and nutritional goals.
- Prepare diet- and nutrition-specific meals aligned with health objectives.
- Design balanced meals considering taste, mood, seasonal produce, and wellness guidelines.
- Manage guest meals and special dining requirements during guest visits and gatherings
- Ensure a polished presentation and timely service for guests, coordinating with household staff when required.
- Support the MD who believes warmth and personal care for guests are main elements of true hospitality. She will do the serving part by herself.
- ** Support will be there from housekeeper and helper (both are educated) during guest visits
- Prepare list of items needed, track pantry items, and coordinate with the educated helper ( helper cum chauffeur) for procurement of the same.
- Monitor proper storage, freshness, and rotation of ingredients.
- Maintain special kitchen equipment and appliances like blenders, grinders, ovens etc
- Follow strict standards of food handling, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Keep the kitchen consistently clean (housekeeper will clean but good to explain them), systematic, organized, and compliant with food safety norms.
- Explain and ensure daily cleaning routines are followed by responsible staff.
- Work in alignment with the daily household routine and schedules.
- Maintain flexibility for special occasions, events, or guest requirements.
- Proven experience as a Private Chef or in a similar professional culinary role.
- Knowledge of multi-cuisine cooking and healthy food preparation.
- Understanding of dietary restrictions, balanced meal planning, and nutrition-focused cooking.
- Ability to adapt recipes and use alternative ingredients.
- Excellent time management, organization, and hospitality skills.
- Professional, discreet, and respectful attitude within a private household environment
