An Italian chef is a culinary professional with specialized knowledge of Italian cuisine. They are responsible for creating and preparing authentic Italian dishes, developing recipes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the quality and consistency of the food served. Italian chefs must possess strong culinary skills, creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for Italian cuisine. Their role requires them to stay up to date with industry trends, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and provide exceptional customer service. At our company, we are seeking an experienced Italian chef to join our team and elevate our Italian cuisine offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning and Development: Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of the Italian menu, designing innovative, vegetarian Italian dishes that align with Cream Centre's brand values and customer preferences.
- Recipe Creation and Standardization: Develop and document detailed recipes for all Italian menu items, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning across outlets.
- Research & Development (R&D): Continuously conduct R&D to incorporate current Italian culinary trends, seasonal ingredients, and unique flavors while respecting the restaurant's vegetarian ethos.
- Hands-On Cooking: Engage in hands-on preparation and cooking of Italian dishes, ensuring mastery over pasta, sauces, pizzas, and authentic Italian cooking techniques.
- Outlet Support: Offer hands-on support to multiple outlets, especially during weekends and peak hours, to maintain high standards and provide quality assurance in Italian cuisine.
- Training and Mentorship: Train kitchen teams on new Italian menu items, cooking techniques, and presentation styles, and provide on-the-job mentorship to enhance culinary skills.
- Quality Control and Standards: Implement quality control measures to maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and preparation across all locations, conducting regular checks.
- Ingredient Sourcing and Cost Management: Collaborate with the purchasing team to source premium Italian ingredients while managing costs to maintain budget guidelines.
- Customer Feedback and Menu Optimization: Collect and analyse customer feedback on Italian dishes, making adjustments to recipes and presentations as needed to enhance satisfaction.
- Health, Safety, and Hygiene Compliance: Ensure the kitchen and all food preparation areas meet health, safety, and hygiene standards, conducting regular audits and enforcing best practices.
Requirements:
- Culinary Degree or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Italian Chef in a high-end restaurant
- Expertise in preparing various Italian dishes including pasta, risotto, pizza, and seafood
- Ability to manage a kitchen and supervise kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Creativity and ability to develop new and innovative Italian dishes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Passion for Italian cuisine and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes to customers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30, ₹60,000.00 per month
