We are seeking an experienced Senior PostgreSQL Database Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable database solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping the data architecture ensuring data integrity, performance, and security. You will be responsible for everything from schema design and data modeling to writing complex stored procedures and managing data transformation pipelines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Database Architecture & Schema Design: Design and implement logical and physical data models for a high-performance, scalable PostgreSQL database that supports an offline-first mobile application.
  • Stored Procedures & Functions: Develop, optimize, and maintain complex stored procedures, triggers, and functions to implement business logic within the database.
  • Data Transformation (ETL): Create and manage ETL processes to transform, validate, and migrate data between different systems and environments.
  • Performance Tuning: Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for queries, indexes, and database configuration.
  • Data Integrity & Security: Ensure the integrity and security of the database by implementing access controls, encryption, and best practices for data protection.
  • Backup & Recovery: Develop and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with backend (.NET) and frontend (React Native) developers to design and implement API-driven data access layers.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for database schemas, processes, and standards.
