About the Role

As a Mid-Weight Drupal Developer, you'll support the development and maintenance of Drupal websites across both client projects and our managed service workstream. You'll work on a range of tasks, from implementing new features to maintaining and improving existing codebases, within a collaborative, cross-functional team. Reporting to the Lead Developer, you'll take ownership of smaller deliverables and contribute to larger builds with guidance, gaining exposure to both front-end and back-end development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Drupal 9/10 websites, including new features, configuration, and content modelling.

• Work across client sprints and managed service tickets, handling bug fixes, enhancements, and small builds.

• Assist in the development of custom modules and theming using SCSS, Twig, and Drupal best practices.

• Support the integration of third-party APIs (e.g., REST, JSON:API) with guidance.

• Use Composer, Git, and other tools to manage codebases and collaborate effectively with the wider dev team.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Write clean, well-documented code and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

• Raise technical risks or issues early and seek support when needed.

• Stay up-to-date with developments in Drupal and related technologies.

You will need…

• 2+ years of experience developing with Drupal 9/10.
• Solid PHP and object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Twig, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript and frontend libraries.
• Strong grasp of responsive design and modern theming practices
• Experience working with design systems and optimizing frontend performance
• Ensure designs are pixel-perfect, responsive, and cross-browser compatible.
• Apply best practices in Accessibility (WCAG, ARAI) to ensure inclusivity for all users.
• Familiarity with Git and Composer.
• Basic understanding of Drupal APIs and configuration management.
• Some experience integrating REST APIs or similar services.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Enthusiasm to learn, ask questions, and grow in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points

• Exposure to Acquia Site Studio or other low-code tools.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile workflows.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
