Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+years of software development experience using Java in building enterprise customer facing products and services.
  • Expert or Hands-on - Data structure & Algorithms, Java Expertise, Java 8 concepts, Java threads, Java Collections, Java Unit Testing, Java Integration testing, Design Principles & Patterns + SOLID principles, Spring Boot
  • Expertise in any of the build dependency management like Maven, Gradle etc
  • Git operations/commands specially rebasing, resolving conflicts etc.
  • Database basic queries, Databases (Relational DB) in Distributed system, System Design.
  • Synchronous - API Design, HTTP status codes, Asynchronous - Event driven design
  • Caching, API Gateway, Load balancers, Rate limiting, DDOS
  • Expertise on any one messaging system like Google PubSub, Kafka, Rabbit MQ etc
  • Well aware of any one monitoring tools like DataDog, New Relic, Prometheus etc
  • Cloud operations - Deployment pipeline, config maps, cluster, pods
  • Containerisation - Docker, Kubernetes

Secondary Skill (Good To Have)

  • Understands Web hooks
  • Should have worked on Google PubSub
  • Aware of Contract & Performance Tests
  • Basic Bash commands
  • Exposure to AI tools like GitHub CoPilot, Claude etc
