WLAN Automation Engineer

We're looking for a WLAN Automation Engineer to join our team at Capgemini in Bangalore. If you have 4–9 years of experience and a passion for wireless technologies and automation, this role is for you

Role Overview:

As a WLAN Automation Engineer, you will develop and maintain automated test frameworks for cutting-edge WLAN solutions. Your responsibilities will include WiFi testing, scripting, and network protocol validation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement automated test scripts for WLAN features.

- Develop test frameworks for functional, regression, and stress testing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies.

- Perform RF testing, throughput analysis, and interoperability validation.

- Utilize tools like Wireshark, IxChariot, Spirent, Ekahau, and AirMagnet.

Required Skills:

- 4–9 years in WLAN testing and automation.

- Proficiency in Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.

- Strong grasp of standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

- Familiarity with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs.

Preferred Skills:

- Robot Framework, Pytest, Linux-based systems.

- Exposure to WiFi 6/6E/7, mesh networking, IoT.

- Certifications like CWNA, CCNA, or Network+.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's in CS, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.

Soft Skills:

- Strong analytical and debugging abilities.

- Excellent communication and teamwork.

- Agile mindset and attention to detail.
