Role & responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on architectural and structural drawings.
  • Evaluate and monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete reports.
  • Manage procurement processes, prepare tender documents, analyze bids, and support in contractor/vendor selection.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders in line with project scope.
  • Track and certify work progress, prepare interim payment applications, and coordinate with the site team for monthly valuations.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
  • Prepare and analyze variation claims, extension of time (EOT) requests, and final accounts.
  • Conduct site visits to verify measurements and work done for billing and audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and site engineers to resolve commercial issues.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, local laws, and cost-control procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-8 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on high-rise residential buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles, contract administration, and construction economics.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software.
  • Solid understanding of construction techniques, material specifications, and local building regulations.
