At FCI London, we're one of the UK's largest luxury interiors showrooms - a 3,000 sqm temple to exceptional furniture, exquisite design, and deeply discerning clients. We work directly with high-net-worth homeowners and alongside top-tier interior designers to bring extraordinary spaces to life.

With AI tools like NanoBanana (yes, really) making it possible for anyone to create stunning design visuals, the game is changing, and fast. We're not panicking. We're planning. And we're looking for the right person to lead the charge.

The Role: Lead AI Design Technologist

This is a newly created role for someone who lives at the intersection of design and technology. You'll be our in-house pioneer - scouting, testing, and mastering the latest AI-powered tools for interiors and design. From NanoBanana to 3D walkthrough generators, space planning apps to photorealistic render engines - we want you elbows-deep in it all.

Your mission

  • Research every serious tool in the AI-for-design space, fast and fearlessly
  • Adopt the most powerful ones into FCI's design and sales workflows
  • Train our designers and sales advisors to use them with confidence
  • Collaborate with clients and interior designers to showcase what these tools can do
  • Advise the leadership team on what's worth pursuing and what's just shiny nonsense
  • You'll begin by mastering NanoBanana and integrating it into how we wow clients. Then you'll scale, building a robust AI toolkit for the whole team.

Who This Role Is For

  • You might be an interior designer with a software habit
  • A visualiser or graphic designer who geeks out on tech
  • A creative technologist who knows their way around a floor plan
  • An architect who secretly wishes they worked at Figma
  • Whatever your path, you should bring
  • 8 to 10+ years in a design-led, visual or creative technology role
  • A portfolio that shows both aesthetic taste and tech fluency
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools, 3D, rendering or design systems
  • A confident, collaborative communication style as you'll be working closely with clients and colleagues alike
  • A relentlessly curious, self-starting attitude and a high bar for quality
