As part of our growth journey, we are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer who will contribute significantly to system design, commissioning and lifecycle support.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (approximately five years' experience) who will work primarily on SCADA and control systems, with specific exposure to:

• Citect SCADA
• MoicroNet (controller) (or similar networked controller platforms)
• Woodward I/O modules
• The role is on-site, requiring installation, commissioning and ongoing support of automation systems—so flexibility to relocate and work at project locations is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and support Citect SCADA systems including HMI screens, databases, trend logging, alarms.
• Integrate MoicroNet (or equivalent) controllers and networked systems with SCADA platforms.
• Work with Woodward I/O modules: wiring, configuration, communicating with controllers and SCADA systems.
• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning and hand-over.
• Troubleshoot system issues in a live industrial environment; propose and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure seamless integration.
• Document system architectures, I/O lists, control logic, network diagrams, commissioning reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality and project timelines, working in a startup environment where scope evolves.

Required Qualifications & Attributes

• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation / SCADA system engineering.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Citect SCADA.
• Experience integrating controllers (such as MoicroNet or equivalent) and I/O modules (such as Woodward).
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written) for reporting, documentation and coordination.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required for on-site commissioning.
• High initiative, self-motivated, able to work in a startup environment where roles may evolve.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to prioritise tasks, adapt to changing requirements.

Preferred (but not mandatory) Skills

The following additional skills can be a strong advantage:

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC / OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.).
• Experience with network architecture for OT/industrial systems (including wiring, switches, remote controllers).
• Familiarity with PLC programming or configuration (beyond only SCADA).
• Experience in commissioning & site work in industrial plants (water/waste-water, power, manufacturing) and ability to deploy solutions in diverse locations.
• Skills in documentation of control systems: I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control logic documentation, FAT/SAT test cases.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills (site teams, vendors, clients).
