Job summary
At Ralecon, the Content Writer will be responsible for creating high-quality written content for websites, blogs, guest blogs, emailers, quora, advertisements, and social media platforms. This content should reflect each client's unique brand tone, enhance their online visibility, and effectively contribute to broader digital marketing campaigns. You will ensure that all outputs are consistent, accurate, original, and aligned with project goals, while efficiently managing multiple assignments within tight deadlines.
- Content Creation: Create original, grammatically sound, and SEO-optimized content for blogs, guest blogs, websites, emailers, social media, Quora and press releases, while crafting compelling headlines and CTAs that align with each client's branding and goals.
- Data-Driven Content Development: Write well-researched content that incorporates statistical data, infographics, charts, and figures to enhance organic traffic and drive lead generation.
- Research & Ideation: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends and collaborate with internal teams to generate strategic content ideas based on current digital trends and competitive analysis.
- Brand Alignment: Understand the brand's voice and tone to create content that aligns with the client's identity and effectively connects with the target audience. And to work with technical teams to align content with overall marketing goals and campaign strategies.
- Headline & Title Crafting: Think up titles for each piece of content that are compelling, relevant, and appropriate for the target audience and platform. Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, tone and accuracy to ensure it meets guidelines.
- Quality Assurance:
Proofread, edit, and format all content to ensure accuracy, readability, and alignment with brand tone, while using tools like Grammarly or Copyscape to ensure it is error-free and plagiarism-free.
- Audience Engagement: Understand the target audience and tailor content to maximize engagement, conversations and brand loyalty.
- Competitor Monitoring: Stay updated on competitor activities and industry happenings to develop content that stands out and appeals to the audience's current interests.
- Project Load: A maximum of 2,000 words per day should be crafted, ensuring the highest level of quality is maintained throughout.
- Time & Project Management: Manage time efficiently by prioritizing tasks, adhering to deadlines, and handling multiple content projects without compromising quality.
- Process Management: Establish and maintain editorial workflows and content review processes. Ensure timely delivery of content projects, managing deadlines and bottlenecks effectively.
- Process Adherence:
Complete all tasks assigned in Zoho Projects within deadlines while following Ralecon's editorial standards and participating in ongoing process enhancement discussions.
- Ideas and Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas for process improvement and solving business problems, ensuring continuous enhancement of SEO strategies and operations.
- Formal Communication: All formal communication is to be conducted via email, and all emails are to be promptly replied to.
- Task Management: All tasks assigned in Zoho Projects are to be completed, and Zoho Projects must be used fully to ensure proper task management and tracking.
- Feedback Management: Actively solicit feedback from Head of Digital Operations (HODO), Associate Head of Digital Operations (AHODO), Content Coordinator (CC), Lead Content Writer (LCW) and Senior Leadership members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal teams, including MoMs, scheduling meetings, and follow-ups. Utilize Zoho Cliq for real-time communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Follow-up communication: Must respond in a timely manner to all stakeholder emails and Zoho Cliq messages. Communication must be professional with all stakeholders.
- Ad hoc Tasks: Willingly undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Content Coordinator (CC), Lead Content Writer (LCW), Associate Head of Digital Operations (AHODO), Head of Digital Operations (HODO) or Senior Management to support overall team objectives.
You are the right fit, if you have
- Educational Background: Hold a bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience of 2+ years in content writing, preferably within a digital marketing agency and prior exposure to SEO or technical content being an added advantage
- Writing & Language Proficiency: Demonstrate exceptional command over English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, proofreading and copyediting with the ability to flex your writing style and tone to suit various industries and content formats. Ecommerce, healthcare and the educational industry would be an added advantage.
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and practices.
- Client Expertise: Ability to understand client needs and tailor strategies and content accordingly. Ability to write in a variety of tones and formats for multiple audiences.
- Detail Orientation & Learning Agility: Exhibit strong attention to detail, effective time and research management, multitasking capabilities, ability to meet tight deadlines and a willingness to learn new content formats and digital tools in both independent and collaborative work environments.
- Technical Tools Proficiency: Be proficient in tools such as Google Docs, MS Word, Grammarly, WordPress (basic), Copyscape, Zoho Projects, and Zoho Cliq to manage content creation and project workflows efficiently.
