Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Architect & Developer with deep expertise in Kubernetes, Go, and Python to join our container services team. This role involves designing and implementing Kubernetes Operators, building internal developer tools, and collaborating with platform and application teams to deliver scalable, reliable container-based solutions. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in both software architecture and hands-on development, with a strong grasp of Kubernetes best practices and CNCF ecosystem tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Implementation:

Architect and develop Kubernetes Operators using Go to automate complex application lifecycle management.

Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable, and user-friendly APIs.

Build internal tools and CLIs in Python and Go to support deployment, monitoring, and debugging of Kubernetes workloads.

Integration & Automation:

Integrate Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.

Implement automated quality checks and enforce best practices.

Collaboration & Support:

Work with platform and application teams to define Kubernetes usage standards.

Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for Kubernetes-related issues.

Provide documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for technical teams.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest Kubernetes features and CNCF ecosystem tools.

Recommend and implement improvements for performance, security, and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong proficiency in software architecture and design patterns.

Proven track record in API design and development.

Advanced programming skills in Go and Python.

Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including CRDs, controllers, and Operators.

Experience with Kubernetes Operator SDK, Kubebuilder, or equivalent frameworks.

Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration concepts.

Experience with Helm, Kustomize, and GitOps workflows.

Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes monitoring and logging tools.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

CKA – Certified Kubernetes Administrator.

CKAD – Certified Kubernetes Application Developer.

CKS – Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist.
