The Software Engineering Associate 3 assists the team in executing routine software engineering activities, well covered by existing procedure and processes, in supporting the delivery of the engineering strategy and roadmap that supports BT's commercial strategy through cross functional project and technical delivery and the participation of a team that pursues innovation as well as engineering excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Developing mission critical applications across different platforms

• Ensuring timely delivery of a high-quality overall solutions that meet business requirements

• Collaborating with Developers, Leads, Architects, Delivery Managers.

• Keeping the application up to date by working with IT to test and apply patches and upgrades.

• Learning new processes and multiple technologies.

Business Impact:

• Ensures on-time, quality deliveries for BT.

Skills Required

• At least 0-2 years of experience in desired role-specific skills.

• Exposure to OO programing language like Java will be plus.

• Exposure in application frameworks like Spring, Angular will be plus.

• Exposure to SQL and No-SQL database will be plus.

• Exposure in AGILE methodology of development will be plus.

• Experience in product development environments and knowledge of tools such as Subversion etc.

• Adopt new and emerging technologies to provide solutions to client needs

• Excellent of algorithms & data structures.

• Excellent programming and debugging skills

• Exposure in developing server side solutions using component frameworks

• Ability to quickly gather requirements, explore multiple approaches and suggest optimal solutions

• Proven analytical & problem solving skills

• Enhance efficiency of dev/test/release process - develop tools, frameworks as required.

Qualifications

Essential

• Possess B.tech in Computer Science or related field

• Possess 0-2 years of experience in IT doing development.

• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

Desirable

• Have a sound knowledge of today's enterprise application technologies and design patterns and be able to articulate it in existing/new code.

• Experience in product development environments and knowledge of tools such as Subversion etc.

• Strong interest in learning new skills/technologies and curiosity to explore various technologies and solution approaches.

• Understanding of Telecom OSS domain will be additive advantage.
