We are seeking an experienced software development engineer to be part of a team working on a confidential new product. The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter who is looking for an opportunity to be both an individual contributor and technical lead. You will be working across multiple organizations and services within Amazon to deliver the unique experience that we are creating.

Your will collaborate with our team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver outstanding mobile experiences in the Smart Home space.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build large-scale distributed systems powering Alexa Smart Home
- Collaborate with world-class engineers across Alexa and Amazon to define, design, and ship new features.
- Contribute to Amazon's strategic growth initiatives for the coming years
- Work on challenging projects that directly impact millions of customers globally
- Lead technical decision-making and mentor fellow engineers
- Gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies & cloud features powered by AWS
- Work across multiple disciplines (backend, frontend, DevOps)

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 2+ years of building production software experience
- 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 2+ years of Apple platform development experience
- 1+ years of Android development experience
