Role & responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Design Basis Reports (DBRs) for substation tenders.
  • Evaluate client technical specifications and identify deviations/risks.
  • Participate in risk assessment and risk review meetings during pre-bid and post-bid stages.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Estimation, Procurement) to consolidate technical inputs for RFP submissions.
  • Support in proposal strategy development, value engineering, and technical clarifications with clients.

Required Skills:

  • Tendering Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in tenderingfor substation projects (from the contractor's side).
  • Contract Knowledge: Good understanding of item-rate, lump-sum, and turnkey contracts.
  • Design Exposure (Desirable): Prior hands-on experience in substation civil/structural design is an added advantage.
  • Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of STAAD Pro is essential. Familiarity with ETABS and SAFE is a plus.
  • Code Familiarity: Good understanding of relevant IS codes and standards related to civil and structural design.
  • MS EXCEL:Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and knowledge of thumb Rules for calculating estimation Indices for RCC and Steel and optimize the cost
  • Strong analytical, costing, and communication skills
