Job Description: SAP Security AdministratorLocation: Hyd/ChennaiDuration: FTE Position Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled SAP Security Administrator to manage and maintain user access, roles, and authorizations across the SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP security administration, role design, compliance, and troubleshooting, ensuring that business-critical applications remain secure and compliant with organizational policies and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer SAP security roles, profiles, and authorizations across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Fiori, and other SAP systems.
  • Manage user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access requests in line with business requirements and compliance guidelines.
  • Perform role maintenance including creation, modification, and transport of security roles.
  • Conduct regular SAP security audits and support SOX/compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to design security solutions that align with business processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot authorization issues, providing timely resolution for end-users.
  • Maintain and enforce Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls, working with GRC tools if applicable.
  • Support SAP security patches, upgrades, and system migrations.
  • Prepare documentation, policies, and procedures related to SAP security.
  • Provide ongoing support during projects, system integrations, and audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–6 years of hands-on experience in SAP Security administration.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP role-based security concepts and authorization objects.
  • Experience with SAP GRC Access Control (ARM, ARA, BRM, EAM) preferred.
  • Exposure to Fiori, S/4HANA, BW/BI, and HANA Database Security.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, etc.) and audit processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice-to-Have

  • SAP Security certification(s).
  • Experience with Cloud security (SAP BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Identity Management (IdM) and integration with SAP.
