Process Overview*

What is Authentication?

Authentication is the technology, strategies, and analytics we use to determine if a returning customer is the "true" customer or a criminal pretending to be a customer.

Why is it important?

One of the main challenges facing financial services in the coming years is the increase in identity theft related fraud. Customer authentication is one of the "must win" battles for banks in the fight against this fraud trend. It is also a challenging as it is a very dynamic space where companies must figure out how to adapt to changes in fraud risk, new digital transaction channels, and shifting customer expectations. The companies that fail to stay keep up will find themselves struggling to protect themselves and their customers from fraud… and will also struggle to deliver on customer experience.

Job Description*

Bank of America is investing heavily in authentication in order to become a leader in this space. As part of that we formed a dedicated team to transform the authentication strategy and culture. This small team, the Consumer & SBB Authentication Team, is tasked with designing and leading a multi-year transformation effort to transform our approach to customer authentication. We are investing heavily in the talent, technology, and analytics needed to build industry-leading capabilities. We need your help to make that happen
