We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in EPLAN Electric P8 and hands-on experience in designing electrical systems for industrial automation and control panels.

This role requires solid design expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality and compliant electrical designs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and modify electrical schematics using EPLAN Electric P8 as per project and industry standards.

· Develop electrical designs for control panels used in robotics, automation, electromechanical, and industrial machinery.

· Create structured schematics, terminal plans, I/O diagrams, and interconnection drawings for automation systems.

· Design cable and harness routing for field devices, sensors, actuators, and controllers.

· Select components such as PLCs, motor starters, HMIs, relays, and safety devices based on automation requirements.

· Manage device and part data in EPLAN, including catalogue entries, manufacturer details, and article numbers.

· Create and maintain intelligent macros (symbol, page, window) for standardized and modular design.

· Develop 2D panel layouts ensuring proper spacing, mounting, and ease of assembly.

· Integrate parts via EPLAN Data Portal and manage EDZ files for automation and robotics components.

· Apply IEC 81346 and IEC 60204 standards for structured reference designation and machine safety.

· Design terminal strips, wire numbering schemes, and generate wiring/cable documentation for field installation.

· Generate complete deliverables: BOMs, terminal diagrams, cable lists, and connection reports.

· Configure plot frames, layer settings, title blocks, and manage reusable project templates.

· Maintain version control, backups, and documentation traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

· Collaborate with automation, robotics, PLC, and mechanical teams for seamless system integration.

· Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and customer-facing meetings as required.

· Propose and implement improvements in EPLAN workflows, libraries, component databases, and templates.

· Mentor junior engineers and support design standardization within the team.

· (Optional) Use EPLAN Pro Panel for 3D enclosure layouts, routing, and collision checking

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.

· Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in EPLAN Electric P8.

· Experience with macro creation, panel layout design, and structured schematic development.

· Solid understanding of control panel design for automation systems and robotic applications.

· Familiarity with PLCs, I/O modules, safety relays, VFDs, contactors, sensors, and communication devices.

· Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).

· Hands-on experience with structured design practices and IEC 81346-based reference designation.

· Proficiency in BOM generation, schematic structuring, and terminal/cable documentation.

· Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
