Job Purpose:

The Java Full Stack Developer will play a pivotal role in our "IT Transformation Programme." You will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality software solutions, contributing to the modernization of our applications, and ensuring the smooth transition to our target state architecture. This role involves active participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and contribution to technology proof of concepts.

Responsibilities :

Software Development :

- Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy robust and scalable Java-based full-stack applications.

- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

- Utilize Spring Boot, Spring, and PL-SQL technologies for backend development.

- Develop engaging and responsive user interfaces using Angular or React JS.

- Automate deployment processes using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Transformation & Modernization :

- Contribute to the "IT Transformation Programme" by modernizing critical applications.

- Assist in the evolution of applications by carving out functionalities as per the new architecture.

- Participate in technology proof of concepts (PoCs) to evaluate and implement new technologies.

- Work with legacy systems and modernize them.

Agile Development :

- Work within an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Utilize Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for project management and collaboration.

- Use GIT for version control.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams.

- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Work with outsourced vendor teams for application development.

- Present technical ideas and solutions.

Quality Assurance & Testing :

- Ensure thorough testing of developed applications, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of automated testing methodologies.

- Thorough understanding SDLC processes including testing methodologies.

Change Management :

- Member of a cross functional (Business / IT / Vendor) transformation team, envisioning the target state and milestones of the programme.

Security :

- Implement and understand SSO technologies.

Messaging :

- Work with Kafka and MQ messaging systems.

Required Qualifications :

BE/BTech/MCA in Computer Science or a related field.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong hands-on experience in Java full-stack development.

- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring, REST APIs, and PL-SQL.

- Proven experience in developing and deploying microservices architecture.

- Proficiency in Angular or React JS for front-end development.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Solid understanding of Git version control.
