The Impact:

As part of the TeraHelix team, you will contribute to the development of our marquee AI-enabled data products, including TeraHelix's GearBox, ETL Mapper and Data Studio solutions. Your work will directly impact our clients by enhancing their data capabilities and driving significant business value.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation and storage.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
- Utilise Apache Spark & Python for data processing, automation and integration with various data sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns and anomalies that inform business decisions.
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows and architecture.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering and analysis.
- Provide support using data visualisation tools to help stakeholders interpret data effectively.

What were looking for:

- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong experience in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Proficiency in Spark (Java, SQL or PySpark) and Python for data processing and automation tasks.
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
- Experience with data analytics and the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) and cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and Data Science Notebooks (e.g. Jupyter, Apache Zeppelin) to present findings effectively.
- Knowledge of financial or capital markets to understand business domain requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

- Experience with Java for data processing or integration tasks.
- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps).
- Interest in machine learning and data science concepts.
