We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer - Quality Engineering
Principal responsibilities
- We are looking for a mid-level Software Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building centralized QE automation solutions, contributing to the development of the QE application, and leveraging AI/ML technologies to enhance QE practices. This role offers a balance of test automation, full-stack development, AI-driven innovation, and DevOps pipeline integration, giving you the opportunity to work on impactful, enterprise-grade solutions in an Agile environment.
- Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining QE automation frameworks for web, API, and service-based applications; developing automation solutions with Python, PyTest, and Playwright; and contributing to QE application development using Python, Flask, React, and PostgreSQL. The role also involves building and integrating APIs for QE automation, applying AI/ML techniques such as intelligent test generation and defect prediction, and implementing AI-driven enhancements to improve quality and efficiency. Additionally, the engineer will support CI/CD pipelines, collaborate in Agile teams, and ensure best practices in automation and code quality across projects.
- Design test plans/cases for functional, regression, user acceptance testing, Execute manual tests and automate repetitive tasks using tools like Selenium, Validate data integrity across platforms and reporting systems and Defect management
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and Acknowledge and address stakeholder concerns and provide guidance towards resolving issues
- Support team members by fostering an open, inclusive culture with a focus on personal well-being Work with developers, BAs, and PMs in Agile/Scrum environments, Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders. Liaise with third-party vendors for integrated system testing Advocate for QA standards and mentor junior team members
Requirements
- University degree or professional diploma/certification in Computer Science or related fields
- Strong knowledge of the testing lifecycle
- Expertise in functional, integration, user acceptance and model office testing
- Experience in working with different testing metholodogies, i.e. Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall
- Ability to effectively prioritise competing demands and work with minimal direction
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand and interepret complex business and IT requirements
- Demonstrable capability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with a variety of stakeholders and a globally dispersed team
- Understanding of financial instruments (equities, derivatives) and trade lifecycle.
- Familiarity with asset management workflows (e.g., NAV calculations).
- Knowledge of collaboration tools – Confluence, JIRA and Microsoft Teams
- Experience in test automation
- Understanding of SQL and Oracle databases
