Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and update instrumentation design deliverables: P&ID markups, instrument index, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, cable block diagrams, JB wiring diagrams, and cable routing layouts.
  • Prepare installation details, supports, and material take-off (MTOs) for instruments and tubing.
  • Assist in instrument location drawings, cable tray layouts, and routing diagrams.
  • Prepare instrument hook-up drawings for field instruments and ensure correct materials selection.
  • Create cable schedules, termination diagrams, and junction box drawings.
  • Coordinate with Instrumentation Engineers for vendor data incorporation into drawings.
  • Ensure drawings comply with international codes and standards (ISA, IEC, API, NEC, ATEX, etc.).
  • Support site teams during construction, installation, and as-built documentation.
  • Maintain revision control of design documents and manage updates in line with project requirements
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling software
  • Experience in leading and guiding a team of designers during project execution
  • Good understanding of project guidelines, standards, and applicable international codes
  • Capable of planning, job delegation, progress monitoring, and control
  • Ability to directly interact with clients on project-related matters
  • Proficient in reviewing data sheets and vendor documents related to design interfaces
