Job Purpose

To support the Internal Audit function by conducting audits of plants, business processes, and functions to ensure effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial reporting, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits across manufacturing plants, warehouses, and corporate functions in line with the annual audit plan.
  • Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and risk areas, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review financial and operational transactions to ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with observations, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations and track closure status.
  • Support management in risk assessment and development of internal control frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen process controls and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in automation and analytics-based audits using Excel, SAP, and other digital tools.
  • Conduct special audits or investigations as assigned by management.
  • Travel to various plant locations as per audit plan

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Experience: 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in Internal Audit within a manufacturing company (preferably automotive or engineering industry).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit methodologies.
  • Hands on experience with SAP (knowledge of key modules like MM, FI preferred).
  • Advanced MS Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling, analytics).
  • Good report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Willingness to travel for outstation audits.
