DIVISIONAL PLANT HEAD – Medium Sized Precision Engineering Design & Products Manufacturing Company in Hyderabad.

For a medium-sized engineering manufacturing company in Hyderabad, A Division Plant Head to take on strategic leadership, operational excellence, with an aptitude for driving growth in the local industrial ecosystem is desired. The candidate will need to manage all aspects of the manufacturing plant while aligning the division's goals with the company's overall vision.

Our Job Summary:

As The Division Plant Head you will oversee all plant operations, ensuring the facility operates at peak efficiency while upholding stringent quality, safety, and productivity standards. This is a senior management role requiring a technically astute and dynamic leader with a proven track record in the precision engineering components and products manufacturing industry, preferably with exposure to High Technology Close Tolerance Components specific to the Mechanical Engineering Markets & Industry. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can drive continuous improvement, manage a multi-functional team, and effectively control budgets and resources.

Your Key responsibilities:

Operational leadership

• Oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are consistently met, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Optimize processes to maximize asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing waste and unnecessary costs through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Manage the plant budget effectively, focusing on cost control and resource allocation to achieve profitability targets.

Team and talent management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers, supervisors, and production staff to build a high-performance, results-driven culture.
• Foster a strong safety culture by enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and promoting best practices.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support employee growth and engagement.

Strategic planning and execution

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the division that align with the company's broader business objectives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, supply chain, and sales, to ensure seamless operations and delivery.
• Identify and execute capital expenditure projects for facility upgrades, equipment modernization, and capacity expansion.

Quality and compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to quality management systems (e.g., ISO, IATF and industry-specific standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory audits and ensure full compliance with all relevant statutory and environmental regulations in Telangana.

Candidate profile

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 12–15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or plant head role.
• Manufacturing - Specific Knowledge: Proven experience operating within the Manufacturing Domain & industrial landscape, with a strong understanding of the Indian local & Export Market, labour dynamics, and supplier ecosystem.

Required skills:

• Leadership and People Management: Ability to inspire and lead large, diverse teams.
• Financial Acumen: Strong budgeting, cost control, and strategic financial planning skills.
• Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of engineering manufacturing processes, with experience in areas like Components Manufacturing and Tolerances, Machine Shop, Selection of Cost-efficient Machinery, Simple Automation of Shops, Heat Treatment and Assembly.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills to troubleshoot complex operational issues.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Emoluments:

The Package shall be worked out based on your experience, exposure and time bound commitments and shall be with the norms in the industry specific to our mid-sized engineering industry segment. For the right candidate, it shall not be a constraint for the deserving.
