Security Operations Center Manager

Role & responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the security operations team, including staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Handle and front-end audit requirements.
  • Develop and implement security operations strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure the organization's information and systems are secure.
  • Oversee the management of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, security information and event management (SIEM), EDR, DLP, PIM, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams to ensure the effective integration and alignment of security operations with overall IT and security goals.
  • Develop and maintain security metrics and reporting to measure the effectiveness of security operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Respond to security incidents and coordinate incident response activities, including investigations, containment, and recovery actions.
  • Stay up to date with current security trends, threats, and technology solutions, and recommend changes and enhancements to the security operations program to maintain an effective security posture.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, security information and event management (SIEM), EDR,DLP,PIM, and vulnerability management
  • Experience leading and managing security operations teams, including staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
