About the Role

We're looking for a versatile Full Stack Developer skilled in Python, AWS, and JavaScript, with proven experience in the Travel or Tourism domain.

You will design and deliver robust backend systems, scalable APIs, and cloud-integrated applications supporting real-time booking, pricing, and data synchronization for global travel products.

This role is ideal for an independent contributor who can design, develop, and deploy cloud-native solutions with minimal supervision, while collaborating closely with distributed teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development

  • Design and implement high-performance, secure backend systems using Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask) and microservices architecture.

AWS Cloud Engineering

  • Utilize AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch) to build and optimize scalable, low-latency applications.

API Development & Integration

  • Design, document, and maintain RESTful APIs for B2B/B2C travel services (booking engines, fare search, payment gateways, GDS integrations).

Frontend Collaboration

  • Work with JavaScript frameworks / ) for client-side integration and dynamic UI experiences.

Database Management

  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, ensuring performance optimization and data integrity.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and support infrastructure monitoring and scaling.

System Design & Architecture

  • Contribute to architecture discussions on scalability, modularity, and API security.

Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, QA, and DevOps teams in an agile setup to deliver travel technology products on schedule.

Must-Have Skills

  • Backend: Strong hands-on experience with Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
  • Cloud: In-depth knowledge of AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, RDS)
  • Frontend: Working knowledge of JavaScript or )
  • API Development: Experience designing & consuming RESTful APIs
  • Architecture: Familiarity with microservices and serverless systems
  • Testing & Debugging: Proficient with PyTest/UnitTest, Postman, Swagger, AWS CloudWatch
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Strong with Git, exposure to GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Domain Expertise: Must have experience in Travel, Hospitality, or Transportation tech (booking, payment, itinerary systems)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets (real-time APIs)
  • Familiarity with NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
  • Exposure to Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Redis, CloudFront, and caching/performance tuning
  • Awareness of DevSecOps and API security best practices
  • Prior exposure to GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport) or travel APIs (Expedia, Skyscanner, )

Education

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Certifications in AWS, Cloud Architecture, or Full Stack Development are a plus
