Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented .NET Developer with expertise in Classic ASP and Visual Basic (VB6 / VB.NET). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining legacy applications, modernizing existing systems, and developing new solutions using Microsoft technologies. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Classic ASP, VB (VB6/VB.NET), and .NET framework.
  • Enhance, debug, and refactor legacy applications while ensuring stability and performance.
  • Migrate existing systems from Classic ASP/VB6 to modern .NET platforms when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and support teams.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and system testing.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong programming experience with Classic ASP, VB6, VB.NET.
  • Solid knowledge of .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET).
  • Experience with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX for front-end integration.
  • Familiarity with IIS (Internet Information Services) for hosting and configuration.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of software design principles (OOP, MVC, layered architecture).
  • Ability to maintain and modernize legacy systems while adopting newer technologies.

Good to Have (Optional):

  • Experience with .NET Core / .NET 5+.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Exposure to API development (REST/SOAP).
  • Experience in version control systems (Git/TFS).
  • Prior experience in application migration projects (Classic ASP/VB6 → .NET).

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Analytical mindset and detail-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability to learn and work with new technologies.
