Job Description

  • Draft and negotiate legal and commercial documents including letters of intent, supplier and procurement agreements, leases and licenses.
  • Handling commercial and contract analysis for business verticals  (Service and Parts) and internal support functions (HR, IT, Marketing, Admin etc.)
  • Handle complex commercial contracts and contract disputes. Support the business on sales and marketing contracts
  • Provide guidance to ensure operations and business activities comply with local laws and regulations, and corporate policies, standards and procedures.
  • Provide legal and compliance training for operations, functions and management.
  • Ensure the integrity of the corporate structure, entities and records in India.
  • Provide overall legal advice to management and participate in India business plans, growth strategies and operations as part of the management team.
  • Assists the CFO with complex transactions and draft required documents.
  • Manage outside counsel with respect to litigation strategies, resolution and follow-up.
  • Manage external and internal costs related to the Legal function and its impact on profit and loss.
  • Draft and implement specific procedures, guidelines and templates.
  • Maintain records / document management systems though the legal team.
  • Support and coach Administrative Assistants, Contract Managers and junior lawyers.
  • Participate in the deployment of Legal department strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in Legal department training and development initiatives and complete assigned training.
  • Supervision of internal MIS on a periodic basis.
  • Participate and handle all cross function discussion in formulation of  business contracts and also potential litigations and disputes.
  • Travel to courts for case hearing/ business outlets and offices across India for business meetings and support on documentations


Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :
  • 12-15 years PQE;
  • 5 + yrs experience in Tier 1 or 2 law firm;
  • Strong legal analytical and drafting skill set;
  • Business Acumen with technology and digital business related drafting
  • Experience in large business house preferred.
  • Aptitude for numbers + MS Excel knowledge
