Role Purpose:

As a DevOps Engineer IV, you will play a critical role in building scalable, secure, and reliable platforms. You should be strong in both the Dev and Ops aspects of DevOps, with a deep understanding of systems architecture and core CS concepts. Youll be responsible for designing resilient systems, solving complex operational problems, and mentoring engineers while driving impactful projects.

You will directly contribute to engineering productivity by building a scalable, secure infrastructure platform. This role involves technical leadership, cross-team collaboration, and ownership of critical projects that impact product reliability and delivery.

Example Responsibilities

  • Design & develop solutions for deploying highly secure, highly available, and scalable services in dynamic environments.
  • Design and maintain persistent storage solutions.
  • Automate operational workflows including monitoring, alerting, performance, and reliability.
  • Lead production-impacting incident response and solutions.
  • Drive technical projects with ownership of delivery.
  • Collaborate with global engineering and business teams.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years in DevOps,
  • Strong CS fundamentals in operating systems, networking, and distributed systems.
  • Proficient in Python, Bash scripting.
  • Hands-on with AWS-based services (RDS, EC2, EKS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
  • Strong experience in PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticache, Aurora, Neptune (performance tuning, query optimization, replication, failover).
  • Expertise in Terraform, Packer, Docker (or equivalents).
  • Knowledge of security protocols, certificates, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and database migration tools (AWS DMS, pg_dump, replication).
  • Familiarity with orchestration, virtualization, and containerized workloads.

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience as a Senior Developer or Application Architect.
  • Exposure to security frameworks (PCI DSS, ISO 27000, HIPAA, SOC 2).Role & responsibilities
