Role & responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Assist customers in finding products and answering questions about product features, pricing, and availability.
- Provide product demonstrations, if applicable.
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally, escalating them to management if necessary,
Sales:
- Actively promote store products and services to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Cross-sell and upsell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Stay informed about current promotions and discounts to communicate with customers effectively.
- Process sales transactions at the register, including handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
Merchandising & Inventory:
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing product displays.
- Ensure that merchandise is displayed neatly and attractively.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when items need to be reordered.
- Assist in periodic inventory counts as needed.
Store Maintenance:
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-organized.
- Ensure aisles and displays are free from clutter and hazards.
- Report any store maintenance or safety concerns to management.
Teamwork:
- Collaborate with team members and management to create a positive work environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Other Duties:
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support store operations.
Preferred candidate profile:
- High School / Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in Customer service or retail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and counting inventory
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (depending on store requirements)
