Purpose for the job:
The role is responsible for driving UNICEF India's corporate partnerships in cause marketing, employee and customer fundraising led alliances. It focuses on identifying and cultivating high-value corporate and brand partners, developing innovative partnership opportunities, and securing sustainable income for UNICEF. By building strong senior-level relationships, negotiating impactful alliances, and ensuring effective execution, the role positions UNICEF as a partner of choice for the private sector. The post also contributes to shaping corporate fundraising strategy, capturing market insights, and encouraging collaboration across teams to maximize both business value and social impact for children.
Summary of key functions/accountabilities:- Implement the work plan for assigned area specifically in the area of cause marketing, employee and customer fundraising, in order to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of results, in accordance with UNICEF's partnership strategy.
- Seeks and promotes new partnerships and resource mobilization, working with UNICEF colleagues to identify partnership and resource mobilization needs and broker resource mobilization agreements to meet those needs.
- Receives and screens inquiries from potential collaborators and facilitates communication with appropriate UNICEF staff. Scans and scouts external environment within designated partnership area for opportunities and risks and shares information in a timely fashion with relevant UNICEF staff.
- Identify potential corporate and brand partners, map high-growth industries, and track trends in cause marketing, employee/customer fundraising, and consumer giving.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
- An advanced university degree is required in one of the following fields: international relations, political science, communications, international development, or another relevant technical field.
- A first University Degree in a relevant field, combined with 2 additional years of professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
Work Experience:
A minimum of five years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public affairs, programme management, resource mobilisation, external relations, or other relevant areas.
Desirables:
- Experience in corporate partnerships, cause marketing, fundraising, or brand alliances, preferably with a non-profit, foundation, or social impact organisation.
- Relevant experience at the country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. - This position is based in New Delhi, India.
